Off The Grid

When the COVID-19 pandemic created immediate uncertainty across the globe, the restaurant, food and beverage industry was the first to be hit with economic challenges and closures. The agility of Off the Grid’s business model allowed the company to rapidly adjust business practices in response to the crisis at hand while springing into action to play a pivotal role in immediate relief efforts with frontline workers and provide contactless delivery of healthy food to low-income families and seniors impacted by the virus itself. 

 Lauren Eastman and our dedicated team were also at the forefront of these efforts, aiding in strategy, development and messaging surrounding programs that made immediate impacts while directing the media relations outreach efforts that resulted in additional awareness, partnerships and community support necessary for the challenging times. 

 The multi-faceted campaign, which took place over the course of 10 months, served the public while supporting the very creators and hundreds of local food businesses on the frontlines.  Efforts included partnership building, media outreach and materials development (talking points, press releases, narratives and shared content with digital assets) along with often extremely short timelines from inception to delivery and resulting press of fewer than 72 hours.

When Marriott Hotels chose Sonoma for a new hotel under the Renaissance Hotel and Resorts flag, they also chose us. Our deep roots in wine country, coupled with our long relationship with the brand, helped launch their new venture in the iconic Northern California community. From developing the marketing plan to implementing a comprehensive public relations program, including the launch of a new farm-to-table restaurant, we help put the hotel on the right track to succeed. Today it has become a go-to destination while visiting Sonoma, whether for a weekend getaway or a dream wedding in wine country.
